NAMPA -- Voters in Canyon County's two largest cities have decided to keep their current mayors.

Generally, it was a good election for incumbents in the Treasure Valley.

"Job's not finished. There's a lot of good things that we've started in the last eight years that I'd like to see come to completion," said Nampa Mayor Tom Dale.

Dale was a won his third term with more than 70 percent of the vote Tuesday.

Watch for Dale to back a new library and a new police station.

Caldwell Mayor Garret Nancolas has won a fourth term.

"We've had to overcome the stigma of crime, we've had to overcome the stigma of not being progressive, we've had to overcome the stigma of being a bedroom community.  We're working hard to do that.  We've come a long ways, we still have a ways to go," said Nancolas.

In races for the Boise City Council, challengers opposed to a streetcar proposal lost.

Incumbents Vern Bisterfeldt and Maryanne Jordan held onto their seats.
